I heard a number of complaints about disgaea 6 cutting out/simplifying a lot of systems. I am very curious if 7 continues this trend or goes back to being more like 5.

Combat systems between are pretty similar between 5 and 6. 6 still had the fun subclassing mechanic that 5 had. The board game from 5 was replaced by a much less interesting reincarnation mechanic. But otherwise the gameplay was still solid.
6 mostly got critique for its graphics. Will I don't mind it too much I felt myself skipping combat animations a lot faster. Although that is in part due to the Disgaea burnout I had. |
