this is why you don't have your ai vtuber interact with chat without a lot of moderation.

Free speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences. TBH, I wish people denying the existence of the Holocaust themselves didn't exist. No, I don't mean they should be killed or injured.

You might want think about how much of population you want gone. The Holocaust is extensive taught in West-Not so much in East. You stunned to learn how many Japanese know nothing about it, or only know next to no facts. Korea, China, SEA, even less. If AI is only looking at western results, even with right-wing propaganda denying happened, looking at East will only muddy results.
Longer and further remove from history Holocaust becomes, more right-wing anti-Holocaust rhetoric will grow. AI will have trouble weeding it out, unless explicitly programmed by liberal democracies include specially.
I live in America long enough, have enough family in US (and Canada) now, and known enough Jewish people to know about it-most Japanese do not because too far removed; have own dark history of WWII to focus on.

Then they shouldn’t be commenting on (and especially denying) the holocaust without actually doing their own research.

I think it's important to disambiguate between people who don't know about the Holocaust, which is entirely understandable if it didn't have a significant impact on your culture, and people who believe the Holocaust didn't happen, which is the subject of right-wing, antisemitic conspiracy theories. If you've never heard of something before and are asked if you believe it's true or not, "I'm not sure if I believe it" is a perfectly reasonable response.
Of course, if you're the central personality in an English-speaking chat room, you should be aware of the Holocaust or able to quickly inform yourself if you're not, and allowing somebody to say "I dunno about that" just because they're an AI is a slippery slope that still shouldn't be allowed. There's no reason that AI chatbots shouldn't be held to the same standards as humans.

Except that humans has free will and a mind of their own, while chatbots can say complete nonsense.
"Oh no, my auto-correct suggested a word that makes absolutely zero sense in this specific context. Why did it consciously choose to do that?" Because it's not actually intelligent?

The prospect of a scenario where AI take over the world and simultaneously anti-Holocaust is hilariously absurdist to me. Though seriously, it's pretty inevitable for a chatbot to become offensive once it spends enough time on the internet.

It's AI, be glad it's words and not drone strikes.

Anti-holocaust sounds like someone who's against the holocaust, not someone denying it.

We saw what happened when people did this during the pandemic.

Releasing an AI on twitch is the source of the problem.
