I think we all expected that, but it's good to confirm.

The GOAT is back, folks. I'll definitely be checking out the dub.

But can he still pull it off? He is the GOAT, but he sounded shaky in the Code Geass rebirth movie. Best of luck.

It won’t be the same without Dorthy Fahn as Meryl and Jeff Nimoy as Nicholas

Jeremy Inman seems like a really good choice to take up the Trigun reboot. Action-Adventure series fit pretty comfortably in his wheelhouse (Most people will bring up Golden Kamuy, but I really liked what he brought dub-wise to Sabikui Bisco & Deca-Dance especially).
Super curious who’s doing the script. Almost wish it was Madeline Morris just because I know she did a stellar job with those very similar, very precise CGI lip flaps in Beastars S2 and really improved that aspect of the dub for me compared to S1, but whoever gets it will be in for a fun challenge. Plus looking forward to hearing all the new cast members for characters like Meryl, Wolfwood, etc…

I think he said not to get your hopes up because it was going with a new cast for the Japanese side. I guess it’s like the new Fruits Basket series where the JP side was all new but the English side had a lot of people from the original

If it's at Funimation I wonder how many people will return, wasn't it only Johnny who came back in Badlands Rumble.

Honestly I don't think they needed to bring Johnny back since this is such a reboot of the property even if it's nice to have him back voicing Vash again nevertheless.
All the same I'm expecting everybody else will have new VA's or at least their Badlands Rumble voices.

The big question is if Dorothy Fahn and Jeff Nimoy will return as Meryl and Wolfwood. FUNimation really screwed them over for the Badlands Rumble movie, and this would be a good opportunity to right that wrong.
EDIT: Looks like both Jeff and Dorothy confirmed on Twitter that they haven’t been asked back once again. Not looking good. If they’re being replaced again, I wonder if Crunchy will use the same replacements from the movie (Luci Christian and Brad Hawkins). They also replaced Lia Sargent as Milly (with Trina Nishimura), but I don’t think she’s done anime dubbing in 20 years.

Really happy to hear this.
Shame it seems Nimoy and Fahn seem to not be coming back.

Good news for English-speaking fans, great to see that Johnny can reprise one of his most iconic roles. Here in Latin America we are waiting to know if CR can bring back Trigun's dub cast back, most of them are still active and they've worked in some CR anime, but it will depend in which studio the dub will end up. Still, it would be great to hear Gabriel Ortiz again as Vash and Georgina Sánchez as Meryl. As for Knives and Nicholas, I find it more difficult because their actors' voices would sound much older, ironically Legato's original voice actor is now in his mid 30s but he retired from voice acting years ago, he only returned to voice Tai in Digimon Last Evolution last year

Out of all his voice acting roles, his Vash was the best.
