Sometimes I feel like the manga industry overworks its artists so hard, the editors might as well just get whips ready.

To Jump’s credit, Horikoshi has been taking more breaks than usual. Or at least he’s allowed leniency for more 1-2 week delays. I am worried about him though. Things like this and the reduced page count of a lot of recent chapters does not give a good impression of the state of his health.

Any fan’s opinion on the stories trajectory will be highly subjective. But there’s no denying that the art from Horikoshi and his assistants is always at 100%. The amount of work put into each page has to be physically and mentally draining. People tend to underestimate how difficult it really is to be an artist, especially one that has meet weekly demands.

Here’s to a smooth recovery!

Hope he gets better quickly. These kinds of stories always alarm me. Too many bad stories about creators recently.
