In general, this year has been really good for Sonic.

I'd be far more interested in a new Sonic Anime over more American content. Sure X is a mixed bag, and downright terrible dubbed. and the OVA is a bit stupid, but they are still better than a good chunk the other media. Adventures wears out its welcome fast, SatAm is one of the better ones, Underground is godawful, Boom feels like they just slapped the Sonic IP onto a standard kids cartoon and this just looks like some multiverse nonsense.
There is so many possibilities in Anime, I would love a show that looks like the Sonic Riders opening or a title directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi would be perfect. They could have a Movie made by Studio 4°C, I'm sure they would find some visually interesting things to do with Sonic. Or since SEGA own TMS, they could get the same people who work on Lupin to do something stylish.

Animation and action seem pretty on-point.
Badniks!
Kind of weird for me to see Rouge as part of Sonic's "crew" (Cream would make more sense) but it's always nice to see more of her.
They're really going all out with the different dimensions and character designs! The Council of Eggman.
So we've got:
- Cyberpunk dystopian future.
- Nature/Savage World?
- Pirates
Kind of curious how Shadow factors into the plot.

The first trailer made it seem like it would be a loose SatAM remake (dystopian future with Sonic leading a resistance) minus the characters tied to the Archie debacle (Sally, Bunny Rabbot, etc), but apparently it has far bigger ambitions.
If Pirate Sonic and Friends toys aren’t available in a few months that’s money left on the table.

Depending on how low your sales are in certain markets the money wouldn’t be much.

Depends on the markets yes. Still, I feel like all these varying costumes are just asking for toys to be made of them.

The Neutral Spanish dub trailer was also released, it's interesting that this is the first Sonic show dubbed in Mexico since Sonic Underground, excluding Sonic's appeareance in O.K K.O. Sonic is voiced by Marc Winslow, who is known for voicing Ciel Phantomhive and Giyu Tomioka, I think he was chosen to play Sonic since he has replaced Sonic's former voice actor from Wreck it Ralph 2 and O.K K.O in other roles. Tails is voiced by Marisol Romero, who voiced Misato in Evangelion, Lusamine in Pokémon and Akito Soma in Fruits Basket, not to mention that she had already voiced Tails in the Sonic 2 movie. It seems Knuckles is voiced by Abraham Vega (Horo Horo in the new Shaman King and Finn from Star Wars) and Amy by Montserrat Aguilar (Lucy in Fairy Tail and Winry in the live-action FMA and in FMAB re-dub). I just hope Shadow gets a cool voice actor, his Latin Spanish dub voices in Sonic X and Boom were fine but nothing spectacular.
I just wish SEGA could dub Sonic's game into Neutral Spanish as well.
