Seriously, though, the info about the time shift audience is really interesting. I bet season 2 ends up joining the likes of Doraemon and Shin-Chan as one of the few anime to air during Golden Time.

Honestly, I ain't even sure why exactly SXF not ended in the evening and still being late night-time show, considering the material. Was it just the cheaper slot?

IIRC the reason the long-running weekly anime don't take many breaks is to hold onto the timeslots. There may just not be any primetime slots available for new anime.

Well, the thing is most of daily evening timeslots on TV Tokyo currently is not even filled with anime series (only TV Tokyo evening animated shows that remain are Pokemon, Yokai Watch, Pazudora and Boruto, and all of them are Friday/weekend shows) to begin with, and usually weekday slots are filled with TV drama recaps, local culture shows and shopping ads. And that is... look like kinda missed opportunity to not expand the slots for new series? (But then, there is also not a lot of potential anime hits to fill it in long-term, so maybe there is a point).
