I was about to f***ing say, there's no possible way that this was it until season 5 in presumably 1.5-2 years. Ending on episode 11 is wacky enough, but doing so in a way that leaves most of the conflict unresolved? I can buy Bell and Ryu being stuck in the deep floors, trying to not succumb to their injuries and presumably the Lambton's poison, and having to dodge the Juggernaut being the premise of their part of a future season, but cutting off right as the rest of our heroes are staring down the mysteriously-respawned Amphisbaena the moment it shows up? That wouldn't fly.

The despair continues. And I'm happy getting more DanMachi!
Also, the Astraea Familia! Finally!

Honestly they look better in the mobile game. Wonder if they're going to adapt any parts of the 3rd anniversary event since it is considered canon (even getting an official novelization).

Very good news! I was confident a new season would be announced but didn't expect a continuation of season 4 coming so soon.
I hope Shadows House and Yofukashi no Uta will get new seasons as well.

Pretty sure there was an announcement before the beginning of the season (maybe on Twitter?) indicating that this was a two-cour installment.
Anyway, episode 11 brings the series to the end of novel 13, which was the second of a three-part arc, so this was clearly never intended to be a series ending point. Will be curious to see how they handle the second half, since novel 14 will not require anywhere near a full cour to properly cover. Will they also do novel 15 (a set of shorter vignettes that sets up the next arc) or something else?

IMO they should also adapt the other short stories of vol 8. It adds character development for the other Hestia Familia members but vol 15 is good too since it delves into their backstories. Sure those are in DanMemo but not everyone who watches the anime will have an interest in that. And yes it was first announced on Twitter but I cant remember who announced it.

I can see the second cour being around 11 episodes as well with volume 14 being the bulk of it and 2 or 3 episodes to volume 15 as an epilogue

It was already confirmed as being 22 episodes so the 2nd cour is definitely 11 eps as well

This is what I was about to type. I'm guessing most people don't remember this announcement.

I don't think it was ever announced here at least.

Looking forward to the second cours. 3 months is long enough to wait. Unfortunately, the manga I was buying has been on hiatus for a couple of years already
I don't buy the novels -only so much space and money, alas.
