Okay, This has proberbly been asked before, but I'm new here.
I've sat down and watched El-Hazard the wonderers (tv series) in a single sitting, Thats 7 VHS tapes one after the other, took up half the weekend.
And recently I've watched 18 hours of Ranma 1/2 TV series in a single sitting. Then watched another 13 hours two days later.
I'm just wondering if I'm the only mad guy here who would watch loads of anime in a single day/weekened.
This thread may get interesting, if it hasn't been done before that is.

Well, for two years, I ran my college's anime club's annual mid-January marathon. Both were more than 24 hours long.
The first year was a GAINAX marathon:
26 eps of Eva
Both Eva movies
26 eps of Kare Kano
6 eps of FLCL
The second year was a CLAMP marathon:
RG Veda
Tokyo Babylon
X Movie
Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland
29 Eps of Rayearth 2
26 eps of Angelic Layer
For personal marathons, my record would be watching all of Fushigi Yuugi, including all 13 OVAs, twice in four days. I'm still not sure why I did that.

Cool, I'm not the only maniac out there
I'm planning to go through ALL of El-Hazard in a single weekend (ova's and TV series) But have yet to get a free weekend open.
(And I know it isn't anime, but I'm planning on watching all 3 lord of the rings films in one sitting as soon as the DVD of return of the king is out. Just has to be done.)

Single sitting...maybe 10 or 11 hours...maybe more.
But, I did a 3-day weekend watching all of Evangelion tv and the End of Eva, Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz and various other random tv episodes (Tenchi, Kenshin) etc., that were on cable.
It happened after a couple months of not watching much anime. That's just the way it goes. Sometimes you binge out on it, sometimes you really don't care to watch it.

What?! How the heck did you do that? You must have been drinking lots of caffine right? |
Lots of caffiene, a school vacation, and skipping OP/EDs.

When I first got my hands on Evangelion, I watched the whole thing (26 eps) in a weekend. So that's about 12 hours with a sleep in the middle. But man, JHU Battousai, over 24 hours, you're a machine!

All of Daiguard (26 eps) in one sitting.
About 1/3 of Kenshin, and Sorcerer Hunters in one sitting
All of Yu Yu Hakusho (112 eps) over a five day period...while working full time.

I remember during summer vacation my sister and I watched all 26 episodes of Noir at once. That seriously gave us a headache especially with all those flashbacks.

Hm, not really very much, because I always get dragged away. However, around the time the convention I go to comes, I get very masochistic. I'll do things like read all of my manga, and then all of my anime magazines, then I'll watch a couple DVDs. Once I tried to watch the entirity of my taped anime and put it in order, but it didn't work. I plan on having a Vampire Princess Miyu marathon soon to celebrate finishing the series^^

I found Naruto few months ago and after seeing the first few episodes I had to watch all the 50+ episodes in a row.
It took something like 20 hours I think...yes quite mad, I know

I'd say the longest benge was about 12 hours of RahXephon, than the next day, around 15 hours of Eva, needless to say...it was a very mecha time.

First time I got ahold of the unedited subtitled VHS release of the 1st and 2nd Tenchi OAV's, I watched each one three times in succession.
That's 11 regular sized episodes and two 45min ones x3.
That's when the madness began.
