Looks and sounds great!  I'll watch it subbed first for the full anime experience, but I'll do a dubbed rewatch later on. It'll be interesting comparing the English performances here to the original show. Most of the cast was novices back in the day, but they've grown a lot as VAs over the years.

It looks like an AU since the later part of the trailer shows Weiss didn't accept Ruby as her team leader unlike canon where she learns to accept Ruby. Since we already got previews of the cast with winter gear, I'm gonna guess Weiss will return to her country and getting her new Esdeath look.

I’m putting my money on both. Reboot for the first three or so episodes to ease in the new folks, and then magical shenanigans to whisk us off to the Mirror Universe as Weiss succumbs to her jealousy and rewrites reality or something.

It does look like an anime version of RWBY, and the fight animation looks on-point.
And they even got Hayamin to contribute an Ending theme!

Interesting to see it start from the beginning. I can't wait to see the fight from ep 1 animated in 2D

Seems like it might be about Weiss overcoming her dislike of Ruby and accepting her as the group leader but maybe with character development this time instead of a teacher just telling her to knock it off.
