Dod anyone go out and see the premiere? I wanted to hear what people thought of the dubbed part 1.

I hope all of Part 1 gets dubbed and released on Blu-Ray. I already have the subtitled DVD set, but I would double dip for sure.

Considering the URL of the premiere hasn't changed, that suggests the video they intended to release in October hasn't changed. I wonder if there was a licensing issue, or perhaps this premiere was meant to be followed by an announcement that needed to be delayed, like plans to stream the Part 6 English dub.

I have heard fathom didn't want people to skip the theater release by just watching the part 1 dub(if you only watch the series dubbed, the two sub episodes are really not worth paying for).

Oh right, I forgot the original schedule had this release just before the theater premiere, which did seem like an oversight.

I do wonder when the Part 6 dub is coming though. Guess I'll keep waiting.

Its going to be the normal cast. Tony Oliver as Lupin, Lex Lang, Richard Epcar, etc.

I seriously doubt they are going to completely change the cast for part 1. Especkally since Epcar has wanted to personally work on part 1 for a long time.

I thought it was incredible , I would legitimately rewatch Part 1 with this new cast, it was fantastic. Even as much as I would've liked Dan Lorge , part 1 zenigata has his moments and I think Doug Erholtz did a phenomenal job all things considered. There were at least around 10-20 or so people at my screening and it was fun sitting down and laughing with fellow Lupin fans, tbh I was almost going to wear my green jacket cosplay but didn't have time but oh well..

Cool

Great! Can I ask how Tony Oliver sounded? Part 1 Lupin gets very dark in the latter half of the episode. How did he do with some of the darker lines?

He definitely doesn't sound as spry and energetic in this episode he's a bit more quiet and twisted which works for this episode it works well. Like the direction on the dub especially with the direction of Tony's delivery I think made it much more enjoyable. Clearly a lot of care went into this. Also it didn't help how amazing that first episode looked on the big screen. I'm actually headed to ANIMENYC this weekend and the entire Lupin cast will be there, so I'm so stoked to give praise (this included) , but for just how amazing this cast is. I can't wait to see if we are going to get the rest of Green Jacket dubbed
