I’m looking forward to seeing these as episodes! DNT is just getting to the best parts of the books.

Can't wait! Just finished Kaikou and started Seiran and I was wondering when the third season would be coming out

So forgive my confusion here. So there's going to be three theatrical movie versions for season 3 like there were three for season 2. Except season 3 is going to be 24 episodes so does that mean each movie is going to be covering 8 episodes worth of content unlike last time where each movie covered 4 episodes of content? Or do these three movies only cover 4 episodes each and they aren't doing episodes 37-48 in theaters?

I believe they confirmed these three movies are going to be the first cour, and they haven't said anything about the second cour yet.

I'm glad to see this reboot continue after it seemed like most US anime fandom passed it by or were harsh towards it but I personally liked it.

Galactic heroes has alot of source material and its not a very good idea to skip much. It probably will take around 10 years (maybe more) to fully complete if they try to do a full and proper adaptation. I'm fine with it taking that long as well.

the problem is that voice actors might not last that long. especially the eng ones.the reason why hellsing ultimate did well was that the VAs were all young and have a personal attactment to that series similar to why miss bailey returned for fruits basket. highly doubt its the same for LOGH's cast!
and considering on how slow it is, most might not care after book 4 or 5! that is what worring me.

That is kind of worrying, especially since one of the main reasons I've been watching DNT over the original is because of the English dub (I genuinely don't know how I'd keep up with the show without it)
Hopefully the series will get more 2 cour seasons and won't be left halfway through the story as an adaptation

The 1980s OVA version of this took almost ten years to complete, so it's a pretty good chance that this version will probably be about the same.
