I am gonna keep this question fairly simple. What criteria do you use to pick out a new show to watch? Do you have a list of anime you watch and check it off as you go? Is it a particular genre of anime that attracts you? Or is it a director or studio you fancy?

I check out the seasonal previews here as well as the reviews and comment threads. If anything looks interesting I try it. There is nothing like trying a show to make a determination.

"looks interesting" is purely subjective and changes from viewer to viewer.

I usually just read the summary to see if it sounds interesting. I also like to check out adaptions of LNs or manga I enjoy. I normally don't care about studio or staff except in a few instances.
