In all my years of being into anime, I've seen the bootleg DVDs for sale, the figures, plushies, soundtracks, whatever, but this is the first time I've heard of bootleg manga. Guess it really speaks to the popularity of KnY.

Considering how low prices of manga in Japan are(article gives an example, 400 yen ~$4), you'd think the bootleggers would lose money on the whole thing unless they were able to handle volumes of the stuff... |

Bootleg manga? I haven't seen such a thing in decades.
That can't be lucrative in this day and age, especially inside of Japan. |

Online manga piracy has been an issue seemingly since the dawn of the internet, but this is just on another level. If you don't think KnY is a true phenomena after this, I don't know what to tell ya.
