Nice. I was wondering what was going on with Okatron 5000. They had been mysteriously quiet since Super HxEros was completed

This is a surprise, I didn't know Funimation did none simulcast dubs anymore.

well I think covid is the issue here. If it wasn't for that they would've probably simuldub it. But the wait was in my opinion worth it.
I really hope for the following dubs:
Adachi and shimamura
Kimono jihen
Kjngs raid
Talentless nana
Wave listen to me
And if Crunchyroll is really part the Sony funimation anime group I could add a whole list.

I never thought I'd see Cherami Leigh in a lead role in a new Funimation dub, let alone Sakura Wars.
It's cool to see the anime getting a dub after the game was sub-only, although somehow I expect if a sequel game ever gets dubbed they'd probably recast instead of keeping the anime English cast (aside from possibly Cherami and maybe Felicia since she's in LA too). I wonder if they had to get SEGA's approval on the casting at all.
I'm glad they kept Michelle Ruff as Sumire for some kind of cast consistency. Has she been in a Funi dub before?

Not actually someone who I imagined would be cast as Kamiyama but I've been surprised before.

I love Cherami Leigh in dubs but I only made it 5 minutes into the new Sakura Wars before turning it off because it hurt my eyes.
Speaking of "hurting my eyes", I'm surprised they're dubbing Baseball Girls and I'm someone who actually liked the show. I suppose their streaming numbers can't account for "ironic viewers".

I don't know if Toraji Ishida from Bamboo Blade counts as a harem lead, but Takeru Ooyama from Maken-ki! definitely does.

Since I hardly ever Stream Anime, I figured this Sakura Wars series was already Dubbed even though the game was not and just waiting for the Blu-ray.

I never finished Sakura Wars (the anime or the new game), and I did finish Tamayomi and thought it was fine despite its MANY animation problems, so I'll more than likely check these dubs out.

Good question about Sega because they were the ones who ordered FUNi have the Sumire OVA outsourced to LA back when they had it and while it didn't work out for Sumire herself, they did get everyone else from the Geneon movie dub back.
And yeah, if Sega does do another game and dub it this time, they have a chance at keeping things somewhat consistent with Cherami & Felicia, just like NIS America did with bringing back Wendee Lee (Sakura Shinguji) & Dave Wittenberg (Ichiro Ogami) for So Long, My Love.

Interestingly, they’ve dubbed the in-show songs in Sakura Wars (not terribly, I might add).

Cherami Leigh has quickly become one of my favorite VAs, and I absolutely love her work as V in Cyberpunk: 2077. The more Cherami the better, IMO. Floored to see her as the lead in Sakura Wars! Can't wait to watch!
