This is quite the news
I just hope that they can acquire more of the heavy hitter titles
and the obscure ones as well (Nanoha!)

The questions are what's parts of the library?
and
What about the partially released titles like Higu and Rozen......?
and
What about unreleased Titles?

Last time this came up it was Hellsing, Black Lagoon & Sailor Moon
Though I thought all the American licenses for Sailor Moon had lapsed-both ADV's & Geneon's.

I never bought the 1st season of Black Lagoon because of Geneon's departure. Now I may have to search for it...
Also, here's hoping that they pick up GSG2 as soon as possible!

If this goes through then all will be right with the world.

Provided that Funi just functions as the distributor and Animaze, BZE, and New Gen continue to do ADR on Geneon titles and avoids like the plague their own in-house studio, this would be great news.

This is exciting news. I do hope the rescue Higa, Rozen, Black Lagoon, Karin, and Kyo Kara Maoh. Most of those shoes probably have their dubs finished and it should not be a huge problem to put the discs out. Oh and Serei no Morbito would be a great rescue as well. But we will have to hold our breathe and cross out fingers that this all goes well in the end (since the deal with ADV and Geneon didn't work)

Even though this is still just ... cake ... being dangled in the air, to hear that it's even being DISCUSSED is a major step forward.

Yes! If this goes through, we can have nice thinpaks! Geneon never seemed to like thinpaks much.

If they plan on getting older titles, they'll deffinatly want the Tenchi shows, since they seem to be interested in cornering the Tenchi market.

What I find just as interesting is the claim that Funi's market share increased to 10%. That seems to contradict what Funi reps were claiming at 'cons last year, where they were citing well more than double that %.

This explains why Funimation opened up shop in L.A. according to Laura Bailey. Honestly though I'm pulling for Bandai to get Hellsing.

Yes, the lousy buggers!
Well, I have to say that I hope that some of the titles picked up will be some of the partially released ones. Like: Kyo Kara Maoh!, Shonen Onmyouji and The Story of Saiunkoku. Why those? Because I own them and I want to see the end of the darn series!
