People can be so stupid sometimes
I hope the movie brings a nice conclusion to the story.

It all depends what you count. The movie is either two hours long with Asuka and Rei taking a four-hour elevator ride, or it's six hours long.

Legit, seeing the news made me wish that it actually was just because I want to know how trippy a 6 hour Evangelion movie would get.

Suffered from movie bloating, and they were considering chopping it into three separate movies. Now that would have been nice, as long as we aren't stuck in Shinji's head for more than 5 minutes, unlike the finale of the TV series.

The last leg of the movie should be 3 hours, tops. Lord of the Rings did it in 3 hours a book, so can you guys.

I know, right? I dropped Rebuild after the second movie, but if the final one turned out to be 6 hours long, I might just feel inclined to complete the series to see how trippy that finale could get.

If it was six hours long I’d kill myself.

Why would anyone think it was six hours long? That's not a thing that happens with anime. Even three hours I wouldn't count on it in this medium where most anime movies seem to be anywhere from an hour to a typical animated film length.

No, I believe he's only referring to the portion that is the 'climax.' So prepare for 41 glorious minutes of apocalypse!

Long movies will not be beneficial to theaters because it will have less showtimes which means less profit. Besides, unless there’s an intermission, people might not be able to use the washroom when nature calls.

I don't mind 6 hours as long as I get to see the film in cinemas.

Considering that there are anime movies that are longer (ie, Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya was 2h42min), I hope Eva4.0 is on the longer end, but I'll concede that longer certainly doesn't mean better
