Have you guys considered Basic Attention Token, along with the Brave Browser? The big value here over Paypal is that it supports micropayments, so even if someone wanted to pay month-by-month for only $1, they can do that with very little transaction fees.
You can sign up as a Publisher and it allows anyone using the Brave browser to tip you BATs in order to fund your site. Currently they have a lot of publishers and Youtubers already on board (https://batgrowth.com/publishers). Here is the URL for publishers - https://publishers.basicattentiontoken.org/ I hope you guys will consider it! |

The button to pay with credit or debit card still sends me to PayPal and requires a PayPal account.
I've got 12 days left. Am I done here? |

Yeah same here.
If you do not live in the US, PayPal requires you to either open a PayPal bank account or PayPal account with a linked credit card to pay for the subscription. But neither I want to do (given PayPals poor track record). Is a new rule they introduced some 3 years ago - only for their own good. I really want to sign up for a subscription and am more than happy to even pay twice as much for it - but just not via a PayPal account, sorry. What's the status of offering a payment method not involving PayPal accounts The moment this exists, I will sign up! Thanks! |

What just happened here??
Today I got notice that my subscription would expire in two days. I went and submitted my payment for an additional year. I get a notice from Paypal that they had paid and that I had set up a recurring payment. This was immediately followed by an additional e-mail that they would not be making any recurring payments. I just checked and my subscription has been extended by a year. I'm confused, I don't remember either ANN or Paypal asking if I wanted to set up a recurring payment. I didn't want to, not because I'm thinking of leaving but simply because once a year payments are a pain to manage. Also, why did they immediately cancel the recurring payment that was set up?? As a side note: I think two days notice of the end of a subscription is a much too short. I would have re-upped a month ago if I had notice. Even a week's notice would be a help. As I remember in previous years we got much more advanced notice. |

It seems PayPal is at it again... they can be such a pain!
I really don't want them to be involved in the ANN subscription in any way. Hopefully ANN can soon setup an alternative. Avoiding PayPal is the way forward I say. |

@Tempest
I renewed a few days ago and got the receipt from PayPal, but I still have the 2 yellow !!'s next to "My ANN" at the top, it still shows "Your subscription will expire soon!" But when I click on THAT, I get the subscription renewal page, showing (as of now) "Your current subscription will expire in 1 year, 13 hours. If you re-subscribe now, the subscription will be added on top of your remaining time. " and the subscription settings page shows "Your subscription is valid until 2021-04-11 (in 1 year, 13 hours)" So, my renewal went through, so why am I still getting the 'expire soon' warning? System issue? |

Strange. Probably a bug that's not dismissing the notice. I'll point it out to Dan.

Ack! I went to renew my subscription but accidentally selected basic (senior moment, really sorry!). I don’t see anyway to pay the difference to upgrade. What can I do?

Recently,I resubscribed to this website on the monthly tier. I don't know if I'm going to be able to keep up with it so I have a proposal for everyone. It would be like what I had previously,a tier that you can subscribe at either three or five dollars but it would be anywhere from three to six months for those who might not be able to keep up with it. It's kinda like what I had previously. I hope that Tempest or the other mods consider this. I'd really like this a lot and I hope it happens. What do you think about something like this?

Hello! I'd like to subscribe but the only link I've found goes to the "Coming soon!" page!
