I thought so too. The encyclopedia's article history says that was a year ago, but it feels even more recent. Must be 2020's time distortion at work.

I wouldn't be surprised if Asano wants to rethink upcoming plot twists because the world's starting to encroach on them. The English release of Volume 9 came out in June and already felt that way. And the whole notion of politically disaffected zoomers suddenly seems a bit dated.

I don't think ANN reported on it, but it did just come back. It came back in May after being on hiatus since November. This manga has been on and off hiatus since it started.
