As a huge HxH fan myself, this is awesome news. Good to hear that Togashi-sensei won't keep us waiting much longer. (the previous hiatus of a year and a half felt like an eternity!).
Hopeully, he can also stick to a steady publishing schedule, because he has been notorious for skipping weeks quite frequently in the past.
Perhaps once the current arc reaches its conclusion, we can start to hear talk of resurrecting the HxH anime as well.
All in all though, great to hear that HxH is back in full swing!

Lies, all lies.
I don't believe anything they say about HXH anymore.

Just rewatched the anime, if only he could work consistently, this would be so far now.

I'd love for this to be true, but with what's happened with HxH so far, there'll be some reason why it doesn't actually start until like... June. D:

... a scan of the announcement is circulating online. It's not just a rumour, it's a rumour with some proof. Personally, I believe it.
And why wouldn't you trust the announcement anyway? Last year, it was announced that HxH would be back in October for ten issues, and lo and behold, HxH was back in October for ten issues.
It's not like we were being lied to the last time, so why the negative reactionse and mistrust now?
Togashi has his own rhythm, and I respect that. I'm happy he intents to tell this story, and I accept that he wants to do so at his own pace. His publishers obviously let him do that, so there is nothing to fear at all.
I'm happy HxH will be back so soon, I was expecting Togashi to take a longer break.

HxH has a huge following in the 2ch Shueisha section. There's no way this wouldn't have already been debunked if the announcement was fake.
I really doubt SJ would announce this unless there are some chapters ready to be printed, but, as always, it's up in the air as to how long the run will last this time.

Well I'm glad to hear it's back, even if it will indeed last only another, like 3 or 4 months or so. I guess we'll see. It sounds to me like this is pretty legit though.
Of course I'm only following the Viz releases right now so it doesn't affect me too much anyways, but I've really been feeling bad for this series being so good and yet being put on hiatus so much. Like someone has already said, this series would either be really far, or at least almost over by now (depending on how long Togashi decides to make this series in the first place) if not for all the hiatuses.
I'd also love to see the anime series make a return myself with a Chimera Ant OVA. Just barely started up on that arc in the latest Viz volume, and it really looks like it'll be a good one.

Well, I mean, I like to kid about the situation, but if Togashi-sensei really has no interest in continuing HxH, he really shouldn't push himself. I mean, there are tons of series that just STOP for years and never reach an ending anyway; others have had hiatuses longer than Hunter's. If Togashi wants to quit writing HxH so that he can actually, I don't know, have a LIFE, that's his right.
Of course, if he really wants to go that route, I think we would all be happy if he just STOPPED LEADING US ON.

The sooner the manga restarts the sooner this arc can end! I miss Leorio and Kurapica! And... ya know... characters that don't look like mutant animal things.
Yeah,..not a huge fan of the current arc.

"Lol, I feel like taking a break, you can do it for now."
I'm happy it's starting again, I just hope he either continues writing for a while, or finishes it up soon.
