i guess someone by the twitter handle @HalgoniaKen messaged support and they removed it because they didn't want to alter it, but it also "fell outside of their standards."

EDIT: They've also deleted their forum posts about discussion for the series. Even if I may not agree with the content in the show, they're sweeping it under the rug. They need to release a statement. (nevermind, their statement wasn't better)

So.... Finally, Funimation got woke. Enjoy your sandstorm, Funimation. That happens when you screw Latin America and other territories regarding your licensing. Hope you go broke.

Removing something on content like this is...skeevy. Unwelcome. Either stand by your product or don’t license it to begin with. This sets a dangerous precedent for the future.

I mean, Sony owns Funimation and it's quite likely Sony doesn't want "borderline bestiality" as a part of their extended catalogue, let's put that out there. Also, the people dubbing the show are, y'know, people, and people like to know ahead of time if they're gonna be working on softcore pornography ahead of time.

Basically, this is the result of licensers in the US tripping over each other to claim a show before anyone else does, before it's even fully produced: you don't know what you're in for. And with so much isekai basically being bodice rippers, something was bound to cross the line at some point. Not everyone wants to work on porn.

I understand your need for a boogeyman to shake your fist at, and hope you someday develop empathy for your peers.

So...yeah, probably assuming it got pulled because it was pushing the boundaries of fanservice. (Even though Funi licensed stuff like that before with no problems.)

Also, its being mentioned as part of the 2020 Winter Preview guide on ANN, and it has episode reviews from it too, so...I wonder what happens to those?

ANN isn't Funi, they should be staying up. It's a review. I'm actually interested in watching this show now to see what's so controversial lol...

It’s still a dangerous precedent because of the crazies. Look, it’s one thing if we lived in a sane society where people didn’t protest the most trivial things. Because in a case like this I feel like HDIVE would be happy to pick up where FUNi left off given Sentai’s catalog going towards more obscure or racier titles.

But we don’t live in a sane society. We live in the world where people protest gas pumps and guys talking about sports in offices. We live in a world where people lost their minds over Rising of the Shield Hero, which is virtually nothing compared to this.

I cannot wait for Redo of Healer to hit and the internet to go crazy. Because my fear is seeing FUNi do this, people will protest whatever company picks that show up thinking they can make people bend to their standards.

It streams on Wakanim here in Europe, with English subs. Will that be affected?

From what I hear the show is just real pornographic. Apparently a step above ecchi shows with even an uncensored vagina or something along those lines.

So it’s not really controversial, it’s just....... porn. Heh. Laughing

Why? Because it is porn? Removing it outright seems like overkill. If the English VA's don't want to dub it, why not just cancel the dub.

That kinda blows, hopefully someone else picks up the license. Also wondering about other platforms Sony owns - Wakanim, Animelab - if will they follow suit.

I understand your position, but after all the things Funimation did to Latin America, my respect to them is equal zero. But let's leave it that way.

Let's not remember what HAS made it over here. High School DxD, Fate/kaleid liner, We Without Wings, Maken-ki!, Yosuga no Sora, and other such depravity. None of these series caused any sort of public outrage or local news story. Why is this show any different?

Bestiality none of earlier borderline porn series had that. The thing is the official release for volume 2 backcover basically spells out what the series is and was out way before licensing for winter since was late July last year was when it was released

I don't see it as a part of woke culture... but i would of assume that episode 3 went a bit to far regardless of how hilarious it was or censored....
