Hi. Anime series on Amazon Prime are censored/edited somehow?
E.g Vinland Saga.

Blade of the Immortal doesn't seem especially edited. Dororo didn't either.
Is there some scene you think was cut? Don't use the manga as a reference, since anime studios must conform to the requirements of Japanese broadcast television.

I don't use manga as reference. I was wondering if gore series had "a special treatment" on Prime given the past (before streaming) cases where you could taste different kind of editing from fog to black dots, from black lines/pixelling to different camera view. So in these cases I waited for BD to be sure since I have no time to watch a series two times.
Now I'm worried about Vinland Saga.

I've watched a good chunk of Vinland Saga. I haven't seen anything like what you described. Have you actually watched the show, or are you worrying in the abstract?

I just reported past experiences that led me to wait for BD. So I'm gathering info before watch the show.

I think it depends on the title.
I've watched these on Amazon Prime, and as far as I can tell they were not censored
-Made in Abyss
-Happy Sugar Life
-Sword Oratoria
-Eromanga Sensei
-Ghost in the Shell (1996)
I do remember reading that Amazon Prime DID censor at least one episode of Goblin Slayer, but I haven't watched it myself to confirm.

The remake of Blade of the Immortal is now streaming at Amazon. This show has copious blood and a rape scene. None of it was censored. It simply carries a warning at the beginning about the content.

So if a series gets censored on japanese tv (although late broadcast) then become uncensored on Amazon?

I'm locking this thread as it's going nowhere. This is the 8th censorship thread that YusukeUrameshi has started on this board.
