Now we need an update on Sugar Sugar Rune by Moyoco Anno, which was announced at the same time as RoV but no updates. |

Whoa it was announced FOUR years ago?? I still remember the announcement, but don't remember it being that many years ago. Glad to see it's finally coming, and those covers look great!

Well its about time. Have my Barnes & Nobles giftcards all tucked and ready for use in Dec.
Will they also do the new extra chapters that were released during the last few years? |

This seems like the sort of translation they need to get 100% right, taking so much time might be frustrating but it's right to do so

Agreed. It's also worth noting that Udon is known for going the extra mile for at least some of their translations. Some years back, they delayed the English version of Pix'n Love's Sonic the Hedgehog artbook because they were so unhappy with the translation that they retranslated the whole thing. Translating the entirety of The Rose of Versailles before publishing any of it very much sounds like something they'd do, and I have a feeling that the long wait will have been worth it! Also, those covers are GORGEOUS. I can't remember if this was ever announced or not, but will these books be hardcover or softcover? |

On the cover of the first volume Oscar and Maria, and on the cover of the second Oscar and Rosalia? Honestly, I always liked Oscar as a character, but I always had a bad understanding of other characters.

I hope this all comes out - as I don't recall them finishing their reprints of Silent Mobius.

Woohoo! Only took 4 years, but hooray! Maybe! I won't actually believe it until it's my hands, since it's been so long.
I forget who I was following on Twitter, but they're the translator, so I actually might believe Udon will be releasing it this time. |

I am so excited for this. I genuinely thought it completely evaporated somewhere along the way. Hooray!

Count: Yeah, they overestimated their audience for collector’s editions of Silent Mobius. Hopefully, the same won’t happen with Rose of Versailles, but at least it’ll be shorter.
