This looks so good! Next year is a great time for JRPG fans like myself. P5 The Royal, VII Remake, and now ToA!

I'm legit excited for the design of the the two characters. They look more grown up, and serious then what we've been getting. I haven't been this excited for a Tales of Game in awhile.
The one character, the female, reminded me of Lialah for a second with that dress design from a distance.

I'm not the only one who's getting Xenoblade (in particular Xenoblade 2) vibes out of the environments, right?

I'm interested, but I'm going to need to know more about the gameplay. I really can't stand the gameplay of Graces f, Zestiria, or Berseria, where you just loop endlessly between special moves (although Berseria clearly did it the best at least). I much prefer what Symphonia, Abyss, Vesperia, Xillia 1 & 2, Legendia, Hearts R, and others use, where you have the normal attacks and special attacks, ala Smash Bros. While I'm not opposed to a new system entirely, I am opposed to the former, as I didn't find it very fun or engaging (Zestiria's story and characters being just boring in general didn't help that game any though). But given that the last two (non-remakes) have had that battle system.... it's why I'd need a demo or something before I got the full game.

Really the most depressing thing about Berseria's ending was that it leads into Zesteria. Which reminds me I really have to finish Berseria.
As for Arise, it looks pretty good. I will definitely check it out.

Tales of Zestiria, graces and berseria all had the same gameplay as past games just with a different guage..... Instead of having mp you have cc, you still had basic attacks you just couldnt spam them endlessly like before which ill take over mp anyday as on the harder difficulties you are blocking and sidesteping instead of endless normal attacks. Also if you had enough pineapple gel to refresh mp you could chain artes back to back in past tales games..... Or spam a certain magic attack that would stun lock everything outside out some bosses to death, you know which one.... |

gameplay looks a lot more generic than standard Tales games. Tales and Star Ocean games have pretty much been their own thing forever now. This combat looks more like souls/zelda/mh in regards to control and actions. That makes me very wary. I won't call it out just yet, but I'm worried that what made the game really different is gone.

They're probably trying to increase Western awareness of the franchise and also probably trying to get in on the game streaming bandwagon since it's also going to the Xbox platform which will have console-unnecessary game streaming.

Yeah, the remaster of Tales of Vesperia got announced at E3 last year.
As for it being on Xbox, got a feeling that it'll be the buggier of the two systems. If that Tales of Vesperia remaster is any indication, BN will focus development on the PS4 most of the time. As that remaster had inconsistent framerates and bugs throughout the game on Xbox One that weren't even present on the Xbox 360 version.
