I feel like her character designs in general take some getting used to, they're definitely unique, but they are pretty in their own way.
As for me, I am excited for this one! Having read the sadly long out of print Basara manga, I can only hope that this might lead to a reprint on Basara (as Banana Fish got) and perhaps a license for the full series. Because I know this anime isn't going to cover about 35 volumes of epic. And I'm ok with that as long as I can get the damn manga!

I'm still so very excited that 7Seeds is getting adapted, and whatever else this could mean for the future of the series. (More content, besides the one, manga spin-off. Hopefully localizations!??)
But this adaption looks soooo worrisome. It is good to see more women creatives in lead positions, especially on a shojo adaption, so that's a plus.

This is the advantage of not being set in stone to a TV season slot - it can be delayed until it's finished. Instead of being aired hurried and incomplete, then being fixed later for home video.
