Yes! I really liked this series, so I'm very happy that there will be more, HYPE!
Although I must say that I had already lost hope due to the poor disc sales xD.
And with this announcement I think it's finally time for me to watch the first season uncensored.

Well, shit. We never see it coming for sure after the abysmal sales of the first season, but damn, I really glad that somehow Tsugumomo gets the continuation.

I am guessing that overseas money (particularly Crunchyroll's) played a big role in this new season happening.

This news made my week. It's this lowest common denominator type of anime that keeps me from ending it. You really wouldn't expect series like this to continue animation wise, looks like I'll live for another year.

I don't even think that Tsugumomo had any real appeal or mass recognition on the West beyond the fanbase and manga readers though, not to mention of its ecchi level is straight-up against current Western "trends" - and it gets up to 11 for the continuation along with its action parts. Nor like it was covered by something like Netflix and get big enough boost on the manga sales like Kakegurui, which also had abysmal disc sales, but still got the second season.
More like some real miracle happens.

I can see the articles already if Funimation/CR pick up and smuldub the second season. Anyway I enjoyed the first season and imported the collection from America since it was never going to get a UK release. Decent comedy, high levels of ecchi, old school feeling.

This show was remarkably fun and well produced, so I'm glad there will be a sequel. Definitely did not see that coming!

Enjoyed the first series immensely and will watch this when it comes out, but because Funi got the censored version of Season 1 I passed on buying the series. If by some miracle they can get the uncensored version I'll buy it wholeheartedly, but I'm not holding my breath..

We'll see. Post-CR/Funi split my biggest question has been what will happen to sequels? Both companies would have an interest in acquiring sequels (assuming they weren't giant flops) so it could potentially get very expensive to try to outbid each other for what they feel is "their" show, which is a bit ironic considering how the partnership came about. If Crunchyroll got it, there isn't a guarantee they would dub it or try to retain the cast. Potentially, they could contract with Funimation to maintain the cast, and both companies stand to benefit since keeping the cast helps sales and Funimation at least gets paid, but who knows if either would want to work directly with a competitor. They could also try to get cast members to record at studios they've used in LA, but getting multiple people to travel might not work.
Overall, I'm pretty surprised that this is getting another season. I didn't get the impression it did that well, even though I enjoyed it.

Except it didn't, despite it was good - the disc sales were abysmal with less than 1k, and manga volume sales not boosted really much during the anime run.
Most likely it got the second chance for the same reason why Monthly Action, the magazine that running manga currently, recently pushing most of their series to TV animation - UzaMaid, Nobunaga-sensei no Osanazuma, Over Drive Girl 1/6 and the announcement of the Dragon Maid second season are the other ones.
