A game based on the shinsengumi!

NICE! I wonder if you can play as Saitou and assissinate Takeda Kanryuusai just like in real life! Hurray for history.

No, I doubt that because that was fictional I think. Even though Kenshin is based on true historical facts all of it isn't true. Saitou isn't a real person he's based on a member from the real Shinsengumi. At least I think this is true. Nagisa will straighten it out, because he's good at this stuff.

*sighs* Oh dear, oh dear. Shinsengumi fanboy to the rescue, once again.

Hajime Saitou was indeed a real person, as was Kanryuusai Takeda. Check the Rurouni Kenshin > Trivia section in ANN's Encyclopedia, you'll find a short biography on the guy written by none other than moi (there's also a section below it on fictional Kenshin characters based on real Shinsengumi...also by moi).

Thank you nagisa, I told ya he'd come to the rescue. I new that saitou was a real character or was based on one.

Theres an import game for the Playstation 1 that takes place during the Bakamatsu. You can play as the Ishin Shishi or the Shinsengumi, I don't remember the name of the game. If anyone knows what the game is called tell me, also it is a turn based strategy game.
