I'm gonna laugh if this delay somehow doesn't fix the show's glaring QUALITY issues.

The question is: Will it make any difference?

Things have just gone from 'worse to are you fracking kidding me'.
Seems like this excuse would have been applicable for every episode after the first. I'm guessing only two people are working on this show right now, lmao.

They should just delay the rest of the series by two or three weeks, to match up with the length of a normal single cour, and to try and make it into something resembling artwork created by humans.

At this point I'm just watching it to sedate a fascination with abomination, and enjoy what's effectively a meme field.

I doubt 1 week will really make a difference. It probably got so bad they couldn't finish in time, which does happen. Y'all just gotta wait for the blurays for the finalized animation.

How far in advance are episodes booked? If they only booked the ten slots then something else will already be in place for those final two weeks of the season. Could be looking at a rushed end with only 9 episodes instead.

Funnily enough, someone tweeted to the imo_imo anime twitter account a screencap of Regalia jp wikipedia page.

They did sneak "We're in serious trouble" into last episode's credits. I guess they weren't kidding.
Now the question is if they can scrounge an extra tv slot to show the final episode, or if it's going to be an home media exclusive. Considering the kind of shoestring budget this one is clearly being done on, I'm not holding my breath to see that 10th episode anytime soon.

Yeesh, talking about growing pains (even while in a co-producing capacity). Before, you might have one show every few years have a publicly-embarrassing production. Within the last year or two, however, there have been at least four or five shows that have had egg on their faces, from multiple delayed episodes to flat-out sloppy quality…
