Oh wow, we're finally here. Pinch me.
Brings back pleasant memories of reading about this mysterious last season on dial up internet, and figuring we'd surely get it one way or another, eventually...eventualllyyyy... |

No exact date given yet, but they confirmed it's coming in May: https://twitter.com/BeckNaja/status/1064228679134453761
Can't wait to see who they cast and how everyone sounds. It's exciting that roles like Galaxia and Lead Crow will FINALLY have official English voices after all this time! |

Wow this brings me back to VHS fansub days I remember going to the con to watch the entire season in one day. Good memories. I love the opening but it is my least favorite season.

Viz is pretty slow with their releases in general. Like Shippuden ended in 2016 but the American DVD releases won't be finished until 2019. |

Took them five years from the announcement, but glad it's finally coming out. Never thought I'd see the day.

Aside from some moments (like Moon Pizza Action), Stars is the worst season to me with the only redeeming thing being those first 6 episodes. |

Same. I have a love-hate for Stars probably due to the Starlights and the mystery of Chibi Chibi's backstory. |

It's finally coming full circle. The final season of Sailor Moon officially in English, the one that could only be watched with those outdated fansubs back in the day. This announcement just made my whole weekend.

It feels like one of those "revived" series in its struggling last season, where they write out running characters (usually when the actors don't return), bring in new replacement/equivalent characters, change the location/premise (y'know, like when Laverne & Shirley moved to Hollywood, or Archie Bunker got his own bar, or Mr. Gold finally left Storybrooke on his own?), and the old writers/creators of the show have long since left and the new ones don't have the old style. Yes, Naoko wrote out Mamoru and ChibiUsa in the manga series, it just doesn't feel like classic Moon, complete with the change of title to justify the other back-changes... ...HOWEVER: I'm still thrilled that Viz got this far, to finally put right the last mistakes of 90's/00's US Moon. Speaking for those of us who never thought this day would happen.
Didn't they solve that in the series, ie. that Chibi-2 was spoiler[the personified Star-seed of Galaxia]? Although think it was something different in the manga, hence a lot of confusion for fans. Still, she does feel like a "Last-season replacement" version of Chibi-1. Last edited by EricJ2 on Mon Nov 19, 2018 2:56 pm; edited 1 time in total |
