I am not fine with the "new" art and the creators not being there but as long as S2 does not include a self-insert guy, I will give it a try.

Have a feeling this is not THE evil S2 "No Tatsuki, no watchee" series, but just a promotional webshort-style marketing tie-in for the games, or for the game audience in preparation for the series.
At which point we can expect a lower grade from the series, but otherwise, might want to stand down to a lower Defcon.

Really had a hard time watching the ultra-limited animation on this. People had all manner of complaints about the animation of S1 Kemono Friends, but these shorts are much worse. Only the mouth is animated in many sequences and when there is minimal head or hand-arm movement it is done completely by the software in the most basic manner with no effort as if the "animator" just did the following (command: move (graphic #1), (beginning position), (end position), accel=0, decel=0, dur=2s). Also disappointed by explanations like the "animal girls" suddenly appearing by a miracle when the park opened!

This is supposed to be directly adapted from the original game's story, so I assume that's where the blame lies for that particular element.

Kusagamori has only been noted to work on multiple things in a show just one time, but now he's surpassed his previous all time record (3) and is doing 5 things. This is a short so it shouldn't be that hard.
