A few buttons short of greatness, I fear. Emulating the original Game Boy's library would be the limit of what this contraption could achieve without additional inputs, save for a small handful of console games with simple control schemes.

I think it is a good start. You got all of Gameboy and GBC games plus original NES. I'm sure other companies would start to make different versions of this.

ehh. Having real buttons instead of the touchscreen makes a difference. The haptic feedback of real buttons just doesn't compare.
Personally, I emulate all older Nintendo games on my DS flashcard, but it's nice to see Nintendo realizing the appeal of retro-gaming.

I play Gameboy all the way on my emulation, emulation is much better than the original console, becuase the console are way too expensive and if you want an actual one, you'll have to wait for this to get an price drop to fit our money to pay it.

or instead of the gimmick how about they just release their library on the 3ds and switch people will still buy another copy of red and blue

or release the emulated games with a game shark feature to let people play a true nuzlock
