As I have said in the comments on another ANN article related to the Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de... manga, in cases like the title of this manga, actually, the term '理系 rikei' is a Japanese expression which means 'people who majored/major/will major in science at college'. So to translate '理系 rikei' just as 'science' in cases like the title of the manga in question is a mistranslation. See the remark by Poster No.12 in the comment section in this Japanese article. Part of it says, '理系を雇う rikei wo yatou,' and it means 'to hire people who majored in science at college.' This part of his remark does not mean 'to hire science'. |
