Huh. I don't think I've ever heard of the voice actors involved in the Black Jack TV series dub. I hope this means we'll get Blu-Ray releases at some point (along with the Dezaki OVA).

80 episodes total of Black Jack from the early 2000s and only 52 are available on Amazon Prime? Unless this new licensor is still negotiating to get the remaining 28 uploaded, that seems like a bad business move, even from the Japanese side.

They're largely newer Vancouver-area actors. Sunni's been in some Ocean dubs (Black Jack isn't an Ocean show), but the others have only a few other credits. I'd be concerned about how many characters some of the actors have said they're playing. Black Jack is really episodic with a tonne of one-off characters, but still.
Black Jack is apparently in HD on Amazon.

I'm not sure what's up with that. The new dub covers all of the TV show, including Black Jack 21.

Woah. Black Jack? Dubbed? In 2018? Sure, okay, I'll take it! (Still hope the OVAs get rereleased soon, they're far superior to the TV series.)

Anybody have a voice clip of Black Jack's English voice of this new dub. I'm curious to know what it sounds like.

Interesting that they dubbed such a long series that is 14 years old. Not that I'm complaining, I love me some Black Jack. Hopefully they will release a home release. (If not, then I would complain. XP)

With Amazon turning more toward independent scavengers, now that they've dropped the "Anime Strike" double-paywall, there's a LOT of rare third-party vintage anime showing up on Amazon Prime at the moment--
Another distributor, under the Anime Crush label, has been digging up a wealth of 80's-VHS titles, including the Streamline "Robot Carnival" dub and the CPM "Beautiful Dreamer", just in the past month.
Ammo Content seems to have gotten their hands on a pile of would-be syndicated Tezuka dubs from the 00's, which just proves that, yes, you can still find the more interesting stream of content from what the Prime raccoons dig out of the dumpster.
As for the Blood-C play, okay, that's new--Apart from some fan work of the Sera Myu's, I don't think I've seen any of the promotional anime stage plays hit the subbed market.

Where are you getting 80 from? Per the article:
Quote: | The 62-episode television anime adaptation of Tezuka's Black Jack manga aired from 2004-2006. |
That still leaves 10 episode MIA, but at least that is fewer than 28.

The 2004 Black Jack anime has two components, the main 62-episode story and the 17-episode Black Jack 21 spinoff. That's how you get 80 (the episode counts are a bit washy because of TV specials). Every episode of both were dubbed, but only the first 52 episodes are streaming.

Yeah, this is pretty unexpected and really cool, definitely going to give this a watch.
I hope it gets a blu-ray eventually since it was mentioned above they're posting it in HD too.
Similarly I can't wait for my copy of B'tx to get here with that brand new dub as well. The dub cast list on that is kind of incredible, it's gonna be awesome to see/hear.
Edit: The new dub is really good.
