The more I see about this series the more excited I'm getting. Really loving those character desings. They look like some old horror 80's OVA and I'm totally digging that.

Depending on the reception, I may give it a shot. But the premise really rubs me the wrong way. As a creative professional, I see that those who are considered geniuses usually work much harder than their peers. It turns me off sometimes to see how "talent" and "genius" are fetishized in anime as some inborn (or supernatural) golden ticket. In reality, talent is just the start of a much longer road of super-effort.

In the story, there are people around us — leaders, entrepreneurs, famous stars, and prodigies — who don't have to put in much effort, and are called geniuses. But these geniuses all have something in common: they all possess a certain "something," a secret that they can't talk about with ordinary people. That secret is "Aguu."

I'm having trouble with this as well. This might be just a bad English translation in this article, but as is, about as far from the truth as possible.

Edit: @Flare-kun,

This is part personal motivation and part escapism in why we enjoy any entertainment medium, but I agree that your sentiment is sincere.

I'll still attribute a bad translation here, with a grain of salt to over-analyzing semantics.

Over 9.5 billion views? This is the highest number I have ever read for views of a web comic or web posting of a newspaper comic strip. The fact that China is the most populous country can help.
