Well, he is starring in the 2nd "Pacific Rim" movie and those use giant mecha, so that's kind of close.

Yeah, the only ones that would need a Japanese cast are Mikasa (half Japanese) and her mom. And spoiler[the Asian clan lady and her bodyguards ] |

Yeaaaah that didn't exactly convince me he's the right person for this. But even if the characters were Japanese, what's wrong with casting Asian Americans or Hawaiians? Does he want the movie to be Japanese language because we already have that? Emerje |

Aw, he wants to be a Titan, not one of the main characters? I saw that he mentioned a live-action Attack on Titan movie on another site and my first thought was that he'd make a great Jean. I'm not sure why, it was just the first character that came to mind.
I'm usually not one to fantasy cast imaginary Hollywood anime adaptations, but I could see Attack on Titan as an exception. In any case, its cool to know that some of my favorite actors from nerdy movies are anime fans in real life. ...Now I'm imagining Daisy Ridley as Sasha...or Christa spoiler[Historia]...I gotta stop! |

ANN is hilarious, don´t post the news about John´s favourite series but post that he wants to be a titan /facepalm. I know why didn´t post any about him because you hate that series. Shame on you!

Daisy Ridley would be a HORRIBLE Christa. Sasha, maybe, but she doesn't fit Christa at ALL. Iif anything she'd probably be a good Ymir, but I agree with the "don't need more live-action adaptations" opinion. |
