I wonder if the players feel lonelier outside the pod or in it?

VR is only good for idols and fanservice (and pornography) when it comes to consumer use. I doubt I want to play any action game on VR, the action games I play have up to the 100's of enemies on screen (Musou titles and Earth Defense Force), that's disorientating at best especially with the latter where that framerate drop will make things worse.

I disagree with you. While it can be used for those items(porn, idols and fanservice). The technology will become better and used for many other applications.Such tourism, other types of game use(think of such things as .hack or sword art online),engineering just to name a few things.

When it comes to be that anyone get get anywhere easily via VR, the value is depleted.
To compare in Gaming, what's better, getting to another moon in Kerbal Space Program where you have many kilometers of dirt and rocks, or No Man's Sky where you can hop in a pod and get anywhere in the Galaxy for unlimited procedurally generated encounters?
The answer would be KSP, the journey and your efforts to get there mean a lot. I feel this is equal to VR traveling.
What VR is good for I'd say, is getting us things we can't get in reality. So I would back the idea that meeting one's Entertainers 1on1 falls under this category, or extreme action that would be undesirable to actually be part of.

You're right. I want fanservice and pornography in my VR.

It depends on if it ever gets to the point where we can just plug in, rather than have to actually act out. The latter significantly limits your options; the former would let you explore beaches, visit strange new worlds and fap where no simulated man has fapped before.
