Shouldn't that be "Retcons" and not "Recons" in the title?

I count myself amongst the group of people, probably little larger than a dozen in number, who would only be interested in something akin to a Retroarch port for the Switch. To me, official but restricted emulators always seem somewhat of a tease.

Well at least now we know it was real. I don't see the point of removing it, though.

Removing it is distasteful.

There's also the chance that the game wasn't meant to be seen yet, so it's just temporarily removed to "hide" it again. Nintendo tends to underestimate the length hackers and code-diggers will go to to find any piece of information possible, so it was likely just an oversight on their part.

I saw it as someone sneaking it in there to see if anyone would find it, but it was removed because it didn't get permission from someone overseeing Switch programming. From the perspective of the overseers, I can see why: They might want to avoid opening the floodgates for other programmers to sneak things in there until the Switch turns into a digital piñata, in whick poking and prodding at it will spill little goodies. As amusing as it sounds for the user, they might not want any additional coding in there that wasn't approved of as it could interfere with something else if there was a mistake.

Presuming it wasn't put in by someone who shouldn't have done that, it's likely that they want to remove it until much closer to it's intended date, when it will be added back in and then probably removed again afterwards.

Recon, reconnaissance. Nope can't see how that works. How has the title not been corrected yet? Hell, why not just use "Removes"? I don't think Retcon works particularly well either.

Both of them are wrong in this case. Retcon is short for "retroactive continuity" and only applies to fictional stories.

I know what it means. But I thought that was probably the word she was going for. It definitely wasn't "recon".

Unfortunate that they removed it. I'm sure there'll be other ways to honor Iwata.
