Excited!
I liked the original episode from season 2 so I look forward to this. More My Hero Academia pleases me.

I'm both surprised and excited that this isn't a recap movie, but...

couldn't they get more creative with the name...?

A possible movie quality fight between 2 certain characters is something that hypes me to no end. Prime All Might vs Prime AfO please!
Pretty cool that while its original, it's also canon material.

I assume this means season 3 will be one cour, and the movie premiers weeks after the third tv season ends. It is cool and good to make a movie to give the anime even more notoriety, but the timing is kind of odd.

With shonen franchises, it's more common than not for a movie to premiere during the run of a series. So I doubt the film will affect the schedule of the 3rd season. The movie will likely have an entirely different animation staff so it won't impact the production of the show.

I don't see why it would make season 3 one cour. That probably only means that the movie will have some link with what airs during season 3. It's easy to assume what it may be about.

You're officially a big league shonen series, once you start getting movies.

Just as I was thought this happening ;)
I really please with this news ;)
Maybe they can pull season3 to fall but anyway this anime needs to get a movie release to get even more popular.

I suppose the reason why the timing of this movie seems odd to me is that, unlike other shounen anime shows that run uninterrupted for years and years, the producers and Bones are handling MHA with a lot of care. I love that Bones is handling this property, and I would be disappointed if it is ruined by unwise decisions from the producers. My hope and wish is that for the next 4-5 years we get 12-25 well crafted episodes from Bones each year.

I wouldn't bet on a food wars movie since the interest for the series seems to be falling, but I too wish for a Haikyu movie. Maybe once the series end? It would probably be easier to fit story wise. Kind of like Kuroko and the Last game thing.

When I first heard that a My Hero Academia movie was being made I thought it was going to be a recap, I'm glad to see that it's not.
