I remember when they pushed this app HARD during some ABC singing show a few years ago. Then I forgot the app existed. And I was happy. I care not for yet another streaming service.

I just hope the dubs for the shows that aren't God Eater and Anohana aren't exclusive; otherwise I've got some Netflix binging to do...

For once I actually agree with you.

So how much money did Verizon have fork over to get exclusive dub rights to the service?

to get exclusive rights?? A FREAKING LOT OF IT!!!!
unfortunately not everyone have verizon and there are other ways to watch those series.
though my concern is with SAO. considering that the series did well on toonami , the fact that verizon have exclusive streaming rights might mean there wont show on that block when the inevitable 3rd season shows up. and that there doesnt bode well for the AS and toonami faithful.

So its one of those US only thing right? First Blue Exorcist dubbed exclusive to Hulu and now this....man I hate Aniplex. Canada is part of NA too. Can we get some way of watching them?

Wait, I thought Aniplex put most of their dubs on CR and Hulu, and sometimes Netflix? Since CR is the only place that streams the sub for AnoHana, why are they not giving them the dub?
Edit: So I just got the app on my phone, and I don't see a single anime here. Who's bright idea was this and what sort of audience do they want to see it?

Considering this is a streaming service many people don't know about, I don't understand the reasoning for getting exclusive rights. I think Crunchyroll would have been the best place, provided they could get a region-free version.

Ideally these would be on Netflix, since Netflix's anime section is kinda lacking. But I started an episode of Brotherhood on go90 and was impressed by the video player. Much better than Funimation's.

I checked it out but it's not available in Canada, only the US. But from what I've heard it's the only place to (legally) stream Anohana in HD, and it's dub only. CR has the sub at 480p.
If this service thinks that getting 2-3 anime, and dub only anime to boot, is going to help their service, I feel they are sorely mistaken.

You don't need to have Verizon to use it. The site is free to use, regardless of your cell phone or cable provider.
