some of it looks kinda standard and dull but the different jobs with different appearances appeals to me, and the lower level to get more stats thing is always good in games if you can get the hang of it.
Might get this one day........

gotta go find out who best girl will be first tho

Reposting what I said elsewhere:

1. While the game had an overhaul on drop rates and enemy difficulty Do. Not. Select. Easy. Difficulty. While it gives you certain advantages, it also cuts your xp rate, making grinding longer. Normal is a good balance, but Hard, if you're cut for it, offers the fastest grind;

2. It's ridicolously easy to miss a key requirement for the true ending, which is an optional event with a certain choice. If you do not choose correctly, you won't be able to get the true ending, no matter what;

3. Class changes and the level reset feature are your friends. The first to get better abilities to use, the second to get skill points to unlock abilities. Just be sure to have the correct amount of items needed and be sure because you can't reroll for free once you've changed;

4. The game has an autopilot feature though it doesn't work very well;

5. Storywise, well, it may be a problem unless IFI brought at least the prequel novel on their site. The prequel offerd important insight on the story which is not explained at all in the game. There are also cameos from the spinoff novel which can be puzzling if you haven't read it;

6. The story has some interesting ideas but due to a "twist" that comes out of nowhere near the end it loses quite a bit of impact. Also some characters don't really grow past their original stereotype figure. That said, I liked a few of them, like Red Riding Hood and Alice;

7. The game, despite being "easy" for a Dungeon RPG can be punishing if you don't know what you're doing, especially if there's a Nightmare roaming around the floor;

8. The dungeons are big, I'd say too big and lack a lot of interesting features (there are like, 3 puzzles, the rest are traps and keys you need to find);

9. Genocide (assuming this name didn't change in the English version?) Mode is another useful tool, and though you can't can't control its activation directly (at least for a while in the game), having it ready on bosses surely helps. By contrast, avoid getting Blood Skelter Mode at all costs.

In the end, I'd say the game is barely passable, though it has some interesting (but underutilized) ideas.
