How long has it been since a new Kirby game came out. The last Nintendo system I owned was a GameCube and I don't remember there being one on it.

Off the top of my head there's been Triple Deluxe on the 3DS, Epic Yarn for the Wii U, Canvas Curse for the 3DS, and a hell of a lot more Kirby games.

Most recently? Planet Robobot last year. It was very well received I believe. Kirby has been an extremely active franchise for Nintendo, rarely are there more than a year or two between games.

I've been playing Planet Robobot recently, and it is gooooood.
This is actually Kirby's 25th anniversary, and they already announced a few little downloadable 3DS games for that, but it's nice there's a big new mainline title on the way. Even if it doesn't make it out quite in time.
I'm also wondering if Kirby and Yoshi are working titles, or if Nintendo has decided the Switch is such a big deal they can do the whole name-reboot-cause-we're-reaching-everyone-now thing.

This reminds me so much of Kirby super stars for the SNES. I can't wait for this and the ensuing nostalgia.
