Uh, it was released by Warner Bros in 2020? I think a typo may have slipped in there.
EDIT: The mistake isn't in the article, it's in the thumbnail on the main page.

Ah, that is why it randomly appeared on Netflix, which I first thought that it was because they had to replace Appleseed to not shrink the already small Anime catalog in the Nordic.

It's not quite as good as Animatrix but it's cool to see this get a second lease on life. I didn't even know WB dropped it, I had been meaning to grab the BD for a while.
