Yeah a translator I follow on Twitter (Aki the Geek) nearly passed out when she saw this. Laughing
Yurio isn't one of my favorite skaters but, as the gold medalist I'm glad they animated his Gala event. Now I have to pray that by December or February 2018 Funimation can confirm they have the BD rights (since Avex is so against non-Japanese fans from importing).

Wonder if the April 29th event will have season 2 news??

Oh, boy. Is that Otabek x Yurio official or what? I hope Funi is able to get this video and adds it to their release. And this time I will buy their super special shiny edition when they do release it.

Same. I'm not usually one to spring for the ultra-shiny special editions but with Free! and now YOI I'm gonna dig deep for the holidays. Need me some beautiful dramedies chock-full of beautiful boys.

Been reading through discussions on Netflix's release model and I concede some good points to a delayed batch release, but I think this series is a prime example of the power of simulcasts to not just inspire discussion but keep it going. People get in habits of checking the tags. My first stop after this was twitter and tumblr tags I've had favorited for months. It's lit, of course.

Hmm. I prefer prima-ballerina!Yurio for the skate routines, both because it makes a more entertaining contrast with his actual personality (personality gaps = moe), and because of the prettier and more graceful choreography. But I'll take it (especially with the shirt-riding-up part). Smile

Wow, Yurio's not my favorite but that looks amazing. Hopefully it will be included on Funi's release. Count me in on those hoping for a super special shiny edition.
