Truly weird appointing a fictional character for a security position

But the ironic truth is, Kirito often battles with GM and even system itself, naming him cyberSERCURRITY officer doesn't really match his role in the story. Sure he doesn't necessarily hack the system during those high-stake battles (ALO notwithstanding) , but he isn't a protector/guardian either.
Oh well, maybe SAO's international popularity can justify this.

Some slight spoilers, maybe given his role in the Alicization arc where he was hired by the government to test their new technology and end up facing a private army that tried to steal it.
But yeah, he was going against an adminstrator in that story arc too, albeit a rogue one.

So desperate to attract young staff they'll hire fictional characters.

But why Kirito and the gang, haven't they hacked into SAO multiple times in the series? This just doesn't seem befitting that they r trying to prevent the very thing they do in the anime.

The only reason I click these SAO articles is the chance to see best girl Lisbeth in a new outfit.
Complete disappoint.

Of course, he can because he's the Merriest Sue around. Everyone's going to be up in flames.

Enticing young, intelligent computer science nerds away from the private sector in order to protect their country from interference by foreign and domestic cyberterrorists? Sounds pretty smart to me. All of the U.S.'s best people go to Silicon Valley. It's not working out too well for us, in case you haven't noticed.
