This game is looking good for having some kind of story to it. Haven't seen a main Mario game with a story since Galaxy.

That City and Mario do not fit together, as well as the normal looking Humans...
Maybe MAYBE one day Mario is also able to say more than just Wa-ho, Here we go, Auauauau, Whooo, Mamamia..
Saving Peach and not beeing able to spell her Name or Bowsers? Cmon
I'll buy it anyway

Super Mario Bros Super Show is now being referenced. Odd but interesting.
No, Sonic didn't have a game in 2006. Nope, not listening.

Is there supposed to be integration of this MK8 "Deluxe" with MK8 online?
Will WiiUsers get more DLC to make them compatible?

I haven't been this excited for a Mario game since Sunshine. The vastness of the game world and variety of locales, the cute Pixar-like animations, the amazing details on Mario's model up to each strand of hair on his mustache to the lining of the "M" on his hat, that mysterious hat which seems to be the first new innovation since FLUDD and the Carmen Sandiego aesthetic, Bowser wearing a Kaito Kid-esque outfit!!
I'm so excited. I'd only dream about a Mario game like this as a kid.

Mario's first time exploring the city streets since Mario VS Donkey Kong...
I've no doubt that this open-world adventure has many surprises waiting. Plus, the new eyed cap will probably bring about some amusing moments.
I'm totally revved up for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! 48 tracks and the revamped Battle Mode will keep myself excited for hours!

I was wondering when I'd see someone reference Homer.

So is Mario deformed or something relative to people? It does looks like Nintendo is trying to make a Mario game that will appeal to those that enjoy sandbox games like GTA, which would make me a little nervous save the other maps/regions match the traditional "Mario" aesthetic much more closely. Plus the gameplay itself looks really fun (and that hat attack is guaranteed to be in the next Smash Brothers)

the best part is that by the time this is released, the Switch will have been marked down to $250 with a pack-in due to poor sales
