It's a shame, I thought he did an excellent job as Blackbeard. Rest in peace Cole Brown.
It seems that a lot of voice actors have died over the coarse of the show's(One Piece) run, more so on the Japanese side than the English side. |

This was actually the first I heard of FUNi's dub of OP, somebody linked this scene around the time it first aired and I was floored. I mean, obviously FUNi was going to do a better job than 4Kids, no doubt, but actually hearing it was like a dream come true. Cole Brown definitely did the character justice. My condolences to his loved ones. It seems he had a fulfilling life as a voice actor, firefighter, and paramedic. May he RIP. |

Blackbeard's VA gone? Nooooooooo! I loved his voice for the guy. He was a perfect fit! Not only a VA, but a firefighter and a paramedic too. All that, and he was only 60.
