This is so god damn awesome. Gen 7 is really pulling out all the stops to cater to both nostalgia driven older fans, as well as really shaking things up and keeping things fresh. I think it wouldn't be unfair to say that these could well be the best Pokemon games, certainly in a long time at least.

Red, Blue/Green and Cynthia/Shirona in the same game, count me in.
Of course, it would've been better as a surprise, but hey, I'll take it. FFXV, Sun/Moon, and KH 1.5+2.5 and 2.8, now this would be one hell of a holiday. (If only two of those games didn't come after New Years...) |

Red and Green return! lol at Red being silent.
So there's a chance Shigeru will come to Alola in the anime. So are they going to change Green's pants to blue in the overseas release? There's a reason why Red and Green have those colors on. Gotta be consistent with your changes. You can't even look back at original Red like you can with Green since he a completely different character with the same name. This would be more accurate.

I wonder what new Pokémon Cynthia has in store for Sun and Moon... I've no doubt that her new team will have at least one new Pokémon from Alola.

Say what you want, I'm not going to rest until all of the protagonists meet each other at different points in time. Red has met Ethan, Nate, and now whoever this guy's name is - WE HAVE SO FAR TO GO!
Fanboy pleas aside, I wonder if this is actually a tribute to Satoru Iwata - as for those who don't know, it was his idea to put Johor and Kanto together and, therefore, have Red and Ethan meet. |

Wow, ANN. Thanks for the spoilers. I can't believe that I avoided most websites after a friend told me that they had a pretty big spoiler in the new trailer, but I believed ANN would be a somewhat safe place. I actually saw the other article that was posted hours ago and thought that was it and there would no longer be any problem.
Now this. It's funny since now that I got spoiled I visited all the other sites I was avoiding and none of them had them. Oh, well. I guess it would've been impossible to avoid them for the next 3 weeks. At least most sites have the decency not to discuss the leaks. |

Actually, I think he was referring to the leaks going around from datamining of the Special Demo. I've heard tell that the entire Alolan Pokedex was leaked. Most sites haven't made articles about that kind of thing, thankfully, and those that have haven't spoiled anything in their titles. You're right that this isn't a leak though. Anything in an official trailer is fair game for discussion. |

I don't see how this is a spoiler in any way. Past characters show up in later games all the time. Green, for example, has showed up in every generation except for 6. If people are worried this is tied into the main story then it's not. For whatever reason the American trailer hyped this up a lot with silhouettes and taglines like "Battle legendary trainers!", but in the Japanese trailer Red and Green had a four-second footnote. It was actually more focused on Shirona in the Japanese trailer which showcased the ability to ask her to join your party and have her follow you around, which was strangely absent from the American trailer. I guess she's not as popular in America as she is in Japan, and America loves Gen I pandering more which is why Red and Green had a much bigger focus in the US trailer.
