You mean more optional not mandated to interact with fanservice.

Splatoon with boobs.

(Which reminds me--I wonder if the Senran Kagura games have been bringing in some of the Evony crowd.)

Oh as if you didn't know what the Senran Kagura series was all about. Why make such a comment for a series that is all about fanservice?

There's an huge fanbase for what SK is, who are we to knock it. If you don't like it, don't bother looking at it or playing it, simple right?

It IS annoying that the industry puts so much focus on games like this, though. Like, almost every original anime-style game now is just about this kind of crap, except for MegaTen.

SK is good at what it does but it's not something I could ever really "get into" too much because bonding over others' implied masturbation is not a fun or comfortable time.

This game will probably be a DLC fest anyway, like every game after Burst.

Oh, not to worry. I don't plan on playing a game revolving around fanservice. Razz

'The game will feature more than 60 total breasts'

FTFY.

(I am not complaining about the existence of the game, but let's be honest here.)

You'd rather they go back to putting so much focus on platformers and RPGs just like they did for most of the 80's and 90's?

All the DLC is costume and hair options so.......

It's better than when I used to quote Jim Sterling's review.

It's VERY quotable.

Katsuragi's bathing suit makes NO sense.

1. Nobody said anything about gameplay genre. That has nothing to do with anything.

2. Not only is that completely untrue for every single SK game with DLC, but dressup is a huge part of SK. That's kind of the whole deal with fanservice, all those costume options exist so you can choose ones that appeal to you.

You're taking issue with Japanese developers making games with fanservice elements under the pretense that's all they make. I mentioned those genres because those are what Japan were known for back in the day and what some would rather they keep churning out ad-naseum despite the double standard of such an suggestion.

You said the Senran Kagura games are a DLC fest which ignores the fact that the DLC isn't as numerous as say Dead Or Alive 5 which is still churning out DLC years after the game came out and like those games are entirely optional and unnecessary to enjoy the game.

I would too. Those genres, alongside kart racers, are my favorites. (In particular, I miss the collect-a-thon platformers.)
