Wow! I'm amazed to see KISS is so popular in Japan. I have vague memories when this group was popular was in the 1970's. I once heard that KISS had a comic book. I wouldn't be surprised when sooner or later, there'd be a manga featuring these guys. I wouldn't be surprised in the least.

They've actually added their blood into a vat of the comic's red ink.

They've been working Japan for quite some time now... They remain quite popular over there, while here in the US they're mostly seen as quaint over-the-hill holdovers from nearly half a century ago. They still tour here, mostly hitting fourth and fifth string venues like many bands of their era.
They did have a comic book back in the day, it wasn't very good. They also had a movie, the less said of which the better.

Not surprising as both were created in the 50's.

KISS will never be the true KISS without Peter Criss and Ace Frehley (the original drummer and guitarist) The only way would be if the current replacement band members, like previous replacement members, would use their own identity, make up, and playing style. Ex: Vinnie Vincent and Eric Carr.
Who you are seeing in the artwork for this article on their Destroyer and Love Gun album covers are indeed Peter and Ace

Astro is to anime what Mickey Mouse is American animation. Not that often that you get a crossover with an iconic American band and the anime character that really started the anime medium.
