So what are Z moves?

Is it something similar to what Ash and Greninja have done in battle?

Other then that, I guess I "should" pretend that Ash goal isn't to be Pokemon Master; but to graduate school....correct?

wow,the reception to this kind of caught me off guard to be frank. I mean the pokem anime has been pretty stagnant for a looooooooooooooooooooooong......breathe's .......long time.

diamond and pearl was just ok,black and white was a bottomless pit of declining quality, and seemed like the beginning of the end. It really turned over a new leaf with xyz. In order to keep that momentum going, they have to start getting experimental, and im open to this type of stuff. It's refreshing.

Crying or Very sad He doesn't fit in with the animation of the Characters. He looks bad.

Those few clips look really good. The decision to send Satoshi to a boarding school isn't a terrible one, in the idea that he won't drastically be de-leveled(beyond the fact he's only got Pikachu). I could see some sort of graduation Pokémon League. I'm hoping they'll sell it well; it kind of reads like Red secluding himself atop Mt. Silver to train, except this is much more kid-oriented.

Man, Pokémon's original audience refuses to quit, though. Satoshi looks fine. He's got a more youthful, rounder streak to him, almost as if this was a careful consideration made to appeal to kids...
But the problem is that only Ash has the new animation Style and all the others have the old animation Style of XY&Z. When you put this two animation Styles together it doesn't look so good.

4:15 to 5:15.

You can only use them once per battle, thought.

I wasn't really on board with the school thing, and his new look certainly isn't making things better... His character design really does look awful.

Interesting.

So will other pokemon trainers have "Z-moves" as well? If so, will they be just as challenging and tough for Ash to beat?

Edit: nevermind I saw the video. well I'll see how the anime do it their way.

Ash seems to be getting younger as the Pokemon franchise gets older.

Ash was practically the same age as I was back in Generation I when I watched the anime. Somehow now 17 years later he's gotten younger. What is his trick? How does he do it?

It really does feel like he's aging backwards.

Talk about completely abandoning the tone and direction they had going in the previous season. "Well that was clearly too serious and we can't have people hoping Ash will accomplish something.....let's put him in school and make him look like an idiot."

This one seems pretty hopeless.

Well...Ash does look quite different from the others, and, sadly, not in a good way. Perhaps OLM was being experimental and wanted to make a slight change to his appearance, but I don't think this was the brightest way to go about it. From the looks of it, the Japanese Pokémon community seem to be, at best, polarized with Ash's new look...
