I find myself looking forward to this comic every week, it's just so much fun. Also, Luna in a graphic tee, beat still my heart..

Rejection and being called a dork will do that.

Hahaha, whatever you say, Luna.

What's up with Vice calling Maybell "dude" and "man"?

But she never rejected him (the restaurant scene's central joke was about him not making an approach at all) or even took much notice of him (she only barely remembers his name in this strip) and when she called up to ask Luna on a date he had no surprise or disappointment reaction (something I thought odd at the time). He also seemed to shrug off being called a dork within a panel's length...until now?

She didn't reject him directly, no, but his chances died when she asked Luna out. But yeah, I agree in the previous strip he didn't appear to be very affected by it (outside his initial reaction to being called a dork).
Maybe he's just shifted into mother-in-law mode, giving his best friend's potential suitor a hard time for daring to make a move on her.

It seems a lot more like sour grapes to me. One of those "I'm attracted to Luna but I won't admit it to myself but then I act out like a jerk when someone else shows interest in her" type situations.
The second to last panel was pretty great. #TeamMaybell

I'm mostly curious to see if Maybell ran this by the rest of the players. Fortunately, Luna knows the game so they won't have to take time explaining things, but adding somebody part way through a regular game is a hassle in my experience.

At this point I just wish I understood the characters more so that I could follow what their logic a bit more and get more of the jokes more.

It seems that a battle is about to occur, perhaps involving lasers....

Unless I'm missing something Vice came off as a spiteful douche in that scenario. IMHO.

Kind of see Vice as being jealous some since Luna is seeing the one who reject him. Interested in seeing how this unfolds. Hoping for not too much jelly.

I could see that, if the new player was a newbie. But for those familiar with the game any DM worth their salt could handle it with no problem and would probably love it. New players shake up group dynamics and freshen things up.

Since when is Vice a complete asshole? I don't get this comic. It has alsmot nothing to do with anime, the charatcers are not consistent and the story is going nowhere fast. Just what is this supposed to be? A comedy? A drama? A parody? So far, it's done none of these right.
